Pottery from the Americas Exhibition

The University Museum is home to a unique collection of almost 600 pre-Hispanic, historical, and contemporary ceramic vessels from the US Southwest, Northern Mexico, and Mesoamerica. The museum also houses an extensive type collection of sherds from New Mexico and Chihuahua, as well as other educational materials.

We are developing a new exhibition from this collection, focusing on pottery related to the archaeological site of Paquimé (also known as Casas Grandes) in Chihuahua, Mexico. This exhibition will open on April 17, 2025. Please check back for more information!
