Coyote Made Me Do It – Contemporary Indigenous Works on Paper

Coyote Made Me Do features ten works by four contemporary indigenous artists, Fritz Scholder, Carmelita (Carm) Little Turtle, Melanie Yazzie, and Jaune Quick-to-See Smith. In addition to being celebrated and recognized internationally, these artists also share a strong connection to New Mexico. The stories these artists tell through printmaking and photography speak not only to important social issues, but also to deeply personal histories, and continue to foster critical dialogue and cultural exchange.

These selected ten works are on loan from the permanent collection of the New Mexico State University Art Gallery, and will be on display through December 15, 2018.
